Manufactured from silicon carbide abrasive. The stone should be lubricated during use, with either oil or water. Instructions for use: To sharpen a scythe safely, push the blade point into a bench top and stroke the blade from the handle to the blade point, on both sides. Finally, lay the scythe on the bench and sharpen pointed end.
